Printing on paper initially started with Gutenberg Press. As the technology upgraded the printing technologies are also diversified in many groups. The main printing technologies we are using in our day to day life is Screen, Digital & Offset.
The Key Differences in these are
Screen Printing is meant for Static Short quantity. Like you just have to print only 100 or say 200 Titles fo a preprinted book with your name than only screen printing will help at that time. Where as offser pritning and digital printing can't help in this case as offset pritning & digital printing is sheet fed based technology hence only sheets with a specified dimenstions and types can only be printing.
Let us discuss an another scenario here
As we stated above screen printing only helps in static short runs. Here static short runs refers to a static content of printing among all our product like letterheads, books.
But here comes a twish with Digital printing here..
Digital Printing is also meant for short runs but it is the only way to print variable data among all our products at once. Although we cannot print preprinted book title with it as stated in example above but we can print Labels with variable data and Paste them book.
and offset printing ?
Offset Printing is the cheapest and the fastest technology ever found in printing industry. Offset printing is meant for High Bulk Static Data Printing on a variety of Paper Media.
